The Good Shepherd
I have come across a person who will sell me a 55gallon drum of barley for about 20 Dollars. My question is: Is it safe to feed Barley to sheep and goats? Right now they are on hay and a commercial goat and dairy mix. I go through a 50 pound bag of it in less then a week, so with the Barley it would save me a ton of money (I am thinking new fence down the road ). Any thougts? Barley is just fine; as with any grain make sure it isn't dusty or moldy We don't feed commercial feed; either corn, wheat or barley and sometimes dried distillers grain cynthia
The Good Shepherd
As far as I know thats what that is. Now my next question, how much do you feed? And do you feed it 2x a day? I feed hay and the commercial mix twice a day now.
