The Sheep Guy
Anyone here know anything about Cydectin Oral Drench for Sheep. We are currently looking for other option to Valbazen Drench since we have used it for the past few years. Eric JT Harlow Harlow Sheep Co. Bill Fosher
Cydectin's active ingredient is moxidectin. It's in the same family as ivermectin, but it will kill parasites that are resistant to ivermectin. The inverse is not true, and it actually appears that using moxidectin will hasten the development of ivermectin resistance. For this reason, the standard advice has been to hold off on using Cydectin if ivermectin is still effective in your flock.
