painted_ponies
Would any of y'all like to come join us? Right now we're a pretty small group - seven dogs, a couple dozen sheep, attendant humans - who gather at a farm near Georgetown SC on Saturday mornings to work dogs and swap gossip. We believe in the more the merrier principle, so if any of y'all would like to join in, please PM me for directions. Our only hard and fast rule is that no one is allowed to hurt the sheep. I own a border collie/alligator cross, so we understand about the occasional burst of enthusiasm and possible ensuing accident, but we try our best to prevent that sort of thing. All levels of experience or lack thereof are welcome.
Dixie_Girl
Sally, I would love to do that. But, 220 miles is a bit for me! Of course, once in a while may not be too bad! I would like to come down at least once! Who knows, it could happen. Of course if I spent the night and the next day went to the beach, that would be cool. painted_ponies
Linda - Feel free to come down anytime, we'd love to have you. If you want, you're welcome to stay with me. I'm so far out in the country that I turned my guest room into a dog room years ago. All I can offer is a single bed in the same room with four dog crates, but you're welcome to it. I'm two hours from Georgetown though, so I have to leave home by 6:30 am to make it to the farm by 8:30 am. And I'm an hour from the beach. If you wanted to make a beach trip out of it you'd probably do better to get a room in Garden City. You'd be right on the beach and only about a half hour north of Georgetown.
