achandl2 Posted October 12, 2007 Report Share Posted October 12, 2007 Hi everyone, I'm a graduate student at the University of Tennessee who is doing some preliminary work for a future pHd project. Looking through all of these posts alot of you all have had problems with your border collie and exercise induced collapse (EIC). We know the condition is similar to what happens in the labrador but there are some specific symptoms that the border collie exhibits that lead us to believe a different mechanism is affecting your breed. We would greatly appreciate being contacted by anyone who has experience with a dog who has had some type of exercise induced collapse. I am compiling the information about each dog in order to characterise how the condition manifests itself specifically in the border collie.
