Guest TheRuffMuttGang
You definitely have to have good obedience to succeed in agility, especially in a class environment. Dizzy is so used to "coming to my hand" in agility that she does it everywhere now. In flyball, when we do recalls we generally train our dogs to "go line up" which means go back to the person holding you on your own so us lazy handlers don't have to walk all the way back and forth with you. Dizzy has stopped "lining up" in agility because she thinks she has to heel with me everywhere. So now when I tell her to "drop" her tug, she goes into a heel and follows me back to her holder person. It's really sort of bothersome!
