GOOSEDOGS
Hi All, we are now allowing people to pick their own dog/handler team. Let us know if your team is not able to run and we will switch you. www.sheepdogfinals2007.com Thanks,Joan
debp
Hi All, This is a great way to support the Finals. My husband and I bought a sponsorship and it gets us two, 2 day tickets, a Finals hat and program, etc. We picked our baby's mama as our team to sponsor. Julie Poudrier and TWIST! kelpiegirl
Dumb question: How do we know who is going, so we can chose who to sponsor? Thanks Julie Hi All, This is a great way to support the Finals. debp
Good question - I believe the Finals are comprised of the top 140 teams? You can look at the rankings on the USBCHA site, which shows where everyone stands as of now. There are a couple of large trials still to go (for example Bluegrass) so the rankings could change, but it will give you a good idea if your team will be going. Of course, you also have to assume that everyone ranked in the top 140 might not attend the Finals - for instance those located on the west coast. They also have you submit a second choice in case your first team can't make it.
GOOSEDOGS
Hi, If you pick a team and they don't qualify, if there is someone else available you want, we will switch you. If not we will assign one at random. We need to get it done quickly so if you know the person you picked won't qualify or is not coming, let us know IMMEEJJJITLY ! debp
Just a thought - it would be cool if all of the OPEN handlers active on this board were sponsored by those of us from this board going as spectators. Can we get a roll call of the OPEN handlers here? Off the top of my head, I would think these guys would be in the Finals; Julie Poudrier and her other great girl Kat Renee and Mark Billadeau Christine Henry Robin French Nancy Obernier Sam Furman Denise Wall
Sue R
JULIE POUDRIER MAY NOT READ THIS POST! This is a great idea and I wish I'd thought to post about it here. I would love to help sponsor several of these wonderful dogs and handlers but I have gotten a group together that are going to sponsor Julie and both dogs for the Bluegrass, and we were working on doing the same for Julie and one dog for the Finals. Since Twist is already sponsored, anyone who would like to come in with us on sponsoring Julie and Kat for the Finals would be welcome to email me. I already have a couple of commitments for the Finals and so the cost per person would be lower. Please email me me if you are interested in joining. If anyone would like to get in on sponsoring Julie and both dogs for the Bluegrass, we'd welcome you and I can answer any details by email. However, I'm leaving for a clinic tomorrow and won't be on the internet from tomorrow at mid-day until Monday, most likely.
GOOSEDOGS
Sue, I think this is a great idea! There are a lot of open handlers here and it would be great to sponsor someone from the "Border Collie Boards". That's the name we could use for the sponsorship. Others that might be going: Lori Cunningham Geri Byrne Pearse Ward Charlie Torre Laura Hicks Glen Firchow Amelia Smith Ten people = Ten bucks, I don't think that's so bad!? Pipedream Farm
According to the current USBCHA Articles (XVI): After the cut off date, anyone may send their entry for the National Finals to the HA Secretary, who will accept the top 150 point earning dogs who enter.
