Just a tiny little vent

Recommended Posts

Hey Aki - vent away. You have every reason to. What kind of idiot would have any dogs unleashed in that sort of situation - not knowing what might be in the room they're entering? Obviously one with no manners and no dog sense, I guess.

Well done to you for protecting Jazzy - I would have done the same thing - but probably not as politely. Jazzy doesn't need to put up with that kind of rudeness.

Was that the owner of the facility who said that to you, or the owner of the dogs? IMO, it doesn't matter whether the dogs were friendly or not - they were being rude, which was not surprising I guess, since the person in charge of them was clearly clueless.

Yeah, I ditto that! Vent away!

The same thing has happened many times to Daz. She is fearful of other dogs and rolls/pees for all of them. Of course, this for some reason makes every other dog we pass try to get at her. Several times, big dogs that are not very nice. The owners never seem to understand - that is the worst part!

I know the feeling, I know the need to vent about it.

Yeah the other person was definately being rude. Dogs are armed to the teeth at all times because they have very sharp teeth. If a couple of big guys with knives came running at this lady what would she think? "Not all humans are friendly"? For all you knew those dogs were about to do some serious damage to yours. I think the respectable think for her to do in that situation is restrain her dogs ASAP and at least say she was sorry in some form or fashion.

I have been there too. I don't know why people can't use the little thing called the leash. It's not hard, and it doesn't cost much. Some people think because they want to let their dogs run they can. Black Jack doesn't like a lot of dogs either, but he'll either growl, or cower down at them. Then when I ask them to keep their dog under control or leave because their dog is loose and running around everywhere I have the problem dog. I really know how you feel. Feel free to vent away
