katherinelynne
Ok so I took my sweet sweet Jenny to her first private lesson today. She is four and wonderful and I had visions her seeing sheep and coming alive and having a ball...ok enough of my fantasy The sheep may as well have been, oh I don't know lets say plam trees I'm still not sure she ever saw them! If she did lets just say she couldn't get away fast enough. I think my cats would have been more curious... it really was comical. So we watched mac's dogs herd ...Jenny watched mac's dogs work and then walked to my explorer and sat by the door like, time to go ya'll. So I guess I can now rest with the knowledge that at least this bc of mine is not laying on the couch dreaming of a field of sheep! Oh by the way we go back with my baby Mac in a few months when he's older ( at around 9 months ) to try him. I'm sure Mac will be a whole new story as he really shows drive and I am a glass half fullkinda gal! Jen on th couch!!!
JLP
If you keep taking her to sheep she just might surprise you one trip and turn on to working as they say. Some dogs don't act interested the first few trips to stock, then all a sudden one day they decide they will try it out.

hsnrs
You should definitely try again; our male wasn't interested until one day when he turned on. Now we can't wait to start formal lessons. Go for it! Narita
WyoBC
I agree. She may just take time to get into it. My Black Jack wasn't the least bit interested in the sheep when he first saw them. But the second time he started liking them more and more. Now he's really good for the time he has had on them. The trainer at the clinic said he had more promise than most dogs that come through there. So don't give up on her, she may just be scared of them too. That can make them look like they aren't interested in sheep at first. I would say try her again a little while later.
bc4pack
Everyone is right. Some take a few 'exposures' for their 'lightbulb' to come on.
PSmitty
Yup, definitely give her another try or two. I bet she'll turn on to the sheep. Pretty girl, BTW!
