Dixie_Girl
Well it has been 4 days since we brought the little monster home! Rebecca, the crate idea is good, but I don't have one, so, instead, to give him a time out, I have a short lead secured to the table. When he is bad, he gets put on the lead. He is getting the idea. So far today he has not been put on it at all. He is playing more with Skip. Jackson still ignores him mostly. Cheyenne has finally got through to him to leave her be. He is great with the kids. And he is learning AHH AHH means stop or get locked up! He had one accident in the house, and has since used the doggie door. He plays and settles when needed so he is not quite the hellion he was! YAY! After looking at dog breeds I really think he is a Boston terr.XCocker cross. I think thats where he gets the B/W coloring. I am waiting to hear from my rescue as to what they want to do with him. I will keep him and rehome him regardless. But he is really coming along. From never having had decipline up till now, I would say he is doing fantastic!
ShoresDog
Good news, Linda! Toby got lucky in a big way when he found his way into your family home. I'm thinking being in a family that expects good behavior and treats him consistently is the best thing that could have happened to him to give him a good future as someone's pet. I loved how you described holding a family meeting, grandkids and all, and everyone agreeing on how he'd be handled. You rock! Oh yeah, Daisy's Boston Terrier friend Elvis has b/w patterned just like hers. Completely different body, of course!
