SincereArtisan
My eyes are still tearing up as I type this. I just recieved a response on the rescue boards tonight from a family here in KY who are interested in Ido. They are part of the Flying Hounds of Louisville frisbee dog club, they appear to be very awesome people in the rescue community as well, and they don't live more than 20 minutes away...even better! Here is their website: www.flyinghoundzoflouisville.com ...I'm happy and so sad all at once. I didn't think this would happen so quick. I even had an appointment with a NEW vet scheduled later this week, to see if there is something the other vets just haven't told me yet, or something we haven't tried. However, this seems like it could really be an incredible opportunity for Idolon. Keep your fingers crossed. i hope to be meeting up with them later this week. smileyzookie
Prayers said for you, and little Ido. I know that when it comes right down to it, you'll do the right thing by her. That sounds like a fantastic opportunity, and even better that they;re so close so you'll be able to see her!!!
sweet_ceana
You are a very strong person and we will have fingers and paws crossed that whatever happens is the best for Ido and you.
ShoresDog
Best wishes for Idolon. I know if you are patient, the right pathway will present itself.
SincereArtisan
Thank you guys so much for your good wishes. They met with her this evening. They adored her, as far as I could tell. Like most everyone--including myself--they didn't know much about the IBD, but they planned on having a lengthy discussion with their vet tomorrow. They do adore her, however, and their lives virtually revolve around their dogs, which I think is wonderful. Ido got along famously with their crew of four, and Rune had a blast playing along, too. The best part about all this if it all works out, is I get to see my lovely Idolon on a regular basis.
WyoBC
That sounds great. I bet she would be happy there, and the best part would be you get to see her more often. I hope everything works out for you and her.
Pat W.
S.A. This will be one of the hardest things you will ever do, I can only think that I could do the same in your position. I dont know if being able to see Ido on a regular basis would be a blessing or a curse. Sometimes the further away they are the easier it is for the wound in your hear to heal. Bless the people that are willing to take her on.
