Dixie_Girl
They people came and were just smitten with the girls! They just couldn't get over what sweethearts they were. The brought their two little dogs with them, a male long haired weiner dog, named Houston, and a female Brussels Griffon, named Mazie. They took the four dogs for a walk around the front, just the 6 of them, and apparently, Lucy and Missy won them over big time! They sound like the perfect home for them. The woman has owned BCs before, but wanted some that would not be, well, so Border Collie! LOL In other words, likes quiet times and walks and travels! They travel and take the dogs with them. We had a great visit, and it was obvious they were all meant to be together. The girls got along great with the little ones and Houston seemed infatuated with the girls. When it came time for them to go, the girls just hopped right in the car, like they belonged! Lucy watched me out the back window as they drove down the drive, but she was smiling. All the best to you girls, you made all our lives a little bit better! The folks said they would send pics and keep in touch. I will pass it on when they do. I took a pic before they left and I DID get permission from them to post them on the board. So, without further ado, here is Lucy and Missy with their new family! WyoBC
That's great!!! I'm so glad they found such a great home. I know they'll miss you, and I know it'll be hard for you to have them gone, but you did a great thing by loving, and helping them when they needed it most. They wouldn't have been that way without you.

bc friend
What wonderful news! Sounds like the girls are now set for life! And none of this would have happened if you hadn't taken them in, gotten them healthy and more socialized, and ready for a new family. You did a a great job! painted_ponies
Oh, Linda, that is so wonderful! You must be running a dog spa - those girls look 100% better and five years younger. Thank you so very much for rescuing the girls. When I think about how their first humans were going to kill them because they'd become inconvenient, and then to see them now with people who look like they love them already, I get all teary. You ought to send that picture and post out to the PRBCR list - what a happy ending to the story.
