bcluver4life
I'm scared... I really am... No, I'm terrified. We took Jake, Blaze, and Jessie to the dog park. Just a few minutes after we got there a large black shepherd came over to Jessie. Then out of no where he grabbed her near the stomach and threw her like a ragdoll. My Dad got Jessie away, thank god, but got some bites from it too. Jessie isn't that stable and she's "breathing lightly." She's got a hole in her stomach from the attack. I saw her organ (I think that's what they were) hanging out from her. She's got a puncture wound to her heart and chest. I'm crying my heart out and I couldn't stay at the vet and just wait. I hope she's going to be alright.
smileyzookie
OH no Prayers are said for you. Please keep us updated. Its really hard, theres nothing you can do for her, but let the vets do their job. Did your dad file a report against that jerk of a dog? lance
Very sorry to hear about Jessie being attacked. My prayers are for a quick recovery. Only makes me more worried about my Bandit at the dog park. He is an Alpha dog and not scared of other dogs. He plays with Great Danes, Rotties, and Pits. I'm always worried what could happen to him. I understand your father coming to Jessie's rescue. Sorry he got bitten. I once punched a dog in the head when another dog had Bandit on the ground with his jaws locked on Bandit's back leg. Bandit was screaming. I now carry mace with me when we are out walking or riding my bike. Lance
bcluver4life
My Dad just called the house and updated Mike, who has just updated me. She got a hole in her intestine and some of the fluids leaked out. Though they cleaned it out. Right now they're checking for more wounds (hopefully there are none) and they'll fix those up. The vet said she was alert thoughout the surgery and that she's doing as good as the spay/neuter dogs. I'm so glad she's alright.

Black Watch Debatable
Sorry to be a worry wart, but please be sure your dad talks to a doctor. Dog bites can become infected sooo easily. I'm very glad Jessie is going to be OK.

Yeah, I'm very relieved. I think my Dad will file a report. If he doesn't I'm calling animal control. Sorry to be a worry wart, but please be sure your dad talks to a doctor. Dog bites can become infected sooo easily. I'm very glad Jessie is going to be OK. I'm sure he will go to the doctor if he can. He's still with Jessie though. czrabbit
How horrible for you and Jessie!! I am so, so sorry to hear this happened. Of course this is not your fault. I can't stand aggressive dogs or aggressive people - and there's no way you or Jessie were doing anything aggressive. A similar thing happened to Jazz about 6 months ago, when a much larger dog grabbed her and shook her like a toy. She wasn't hurt as bad as Jessie and I'm just sick thinking you went through that. You are VERY much in my heart and prayers and I hope to hear good news very soon. Please, keep us posted. And hug yourself from me. I hope your dad will take legal action against that dog's owner, and I hope he is ok. Muchos besitos, Jessie
bcluver4life
I just got an update from my brother on her. The good news is that Jessie is all cleaned up now and completely done with surgey. The bad news is that she only has a 50% chance of living. The vet will know in 48 hours if she is going to make it or not.

bcluver4life
I'd like to thank everyone that is out there to help support Jessie. Hopefully these prayers will make it through and she'll get better. This is just going to be really hard on me at school tomorrow. I have one more day left of midterms and my mind is going to be clouded. Maybe my Dad will say I don't have to go to school tomorrow. I just want to go to PetsMart and stay by Jessie's side.
