border_collie_crazy
remeber only a short time ago Rusty showed up at my house and didnt wanna leave and we found his very happy mom? well her husband rather liked Rusty gone and decided he must go. his mommy dosent want to dump him at the shelter so she called us first, we cant keep him, but we are hunting for a preformance home for him. he is still with his family for the time being but if we cant find him a home fast enugh for her husband then Rusty will be fostered with us until he finds one. so unfortinatly, the "happy ending" wasnt much one at all
smileyzookie
Aw man Poor Rusty. I hope you can find a home easily. Shouldnt be too hard with such a small dog should it? I mean, dont smaller dogs rehome easier? Or is that a myth?
juliepoudrier
Makes you wonder if dear husband isn't the reason you ended up with Rusty in the first place (i.e., intentionally lost dog). J.
Dixie_Girl
Julie, you read my mind! Good luck finding the lil guy a home. I think if DH told me that, HE would be the one getting re-homed! ETA: This is the prob when you don't crate train "hubby" They have all these dominence issues. Perhaps neutering would help. I hear on another thread they got neuticals(sp?) so he won't miss them but will calm him down some!

border_collie_crazy
lol as well intention as Rustys mom and kid are, they really dont understand dogs, she was telling us how her son would take Rusty for walks, and let him off the leash and he would run away. ummmmm..... duh? if you havent trained a dog(particularly a intact male terrier) to stick around, and you let them off in an open area, they dont automaticly just stick around lol
Kat's Dogs
It may not seem happy now, but if Rusty gets a new home then it will be the happiest of all happy ending! Especially if Rusty was accidentally lost on purpose. I heard something similar a few months ago here happen except, well, lets just hope the dog rests in peace. If Rusty could get into a performance home that would be totally awesome for him!
Beth G
Maybe fate sent Rusty back to you because his home life was that bad? I strongly believe these things happen for a reason. That's wonderful that you are going to help him.
