nowwown
Hi, Just got a call from the vet that Cody is okay after his neutering this morning. I was a nervous wreck, worrying about him! I have human children, but Cody is my baby! He didn't have a clue about any of this. When I said to him last night, "Hey Cody, tomorrow you will have--no BALLS!" he started dancing around and got all excited, thinking I was talking about his FAVORITE subject, BALLS. Of course I then had to throw some for him. Poor guy. I have to pick him up today at the vet after 4 pm, and then lots of R&R this weekend. Any suggestions from anyone for post-surgery care? Thanks. Cheri McDonald
He will probably be raring to go the minute he gets home. With the boys it's snip snip and they are on their way. Briar had a kidney removed and I thought there was no way I was going to get her to realize she just had major surgery. After a week of crate rest it was all I could do to keep her from running, jumping and doing zoomies around the house. He's going to be fine! Give him a pat from us. Briar the morning after her surgery and pouting because I wouldn't play with her and the toy she is laying on.
WyoBC
Aww poor little guy. Give him a hug for me. I bet he'll get lots of loving (and treats) to make up for going to the vet.
Allie Oop
The hardest part will be keeping him from being a wild child. Wishing him a speedy recovery.
jjean
Get well soon, Cody. I think one of the most difficult things to explain to a BC is that they can't play when recovering from surgery. Zip & I play a game where I sit on the floor, he lays down and we roll a ball back and forth to each other. Not very exciting but it keep his mind busy. Kat's Dogs
I couldn't stand to look at Dazzle while she was recovering. After the first night I got the message through that she needed to lay down and stay calm, so she did, but her stare was killing me! She would look at me like "why? this is pure torture. I am very pitiful like this so let me play" Best wishes to Cody.
trailrider
I had 2 males done in the last year, and each one was quiet in the house for one day, no bother, then basically back to normal by the third day. No problems, but kept them out of the mud and creek. Even the girls have never needed help to keep away from the staples. I`m not sure they all ever knew that there was something serious going on with them.
