Bounce
First I get a border collie that can't sleep, now its my sheep. My lambs baa at night (all night) My daughter is complaining that they keep her awake. I feed them lastly around 9pm. I know they have warm, clean, dry shelter & warm water and the hay rack is full. What do they want? Bedtime stories and a tuck-in? We are under seige by Snowy Owls this winter. I'm sure the lambs are big enough not to be picked up but the owls are swooping at me and my dogs when I go outside at night. Could that be whats freaking them out? They're going to attract predators the way they carry on. At first, I figured they were missing Mommie but they should be over that by now. Are your sheep this noisy? blackacre
Were they just weaned off their mothers when you got them? That's why they're crying. They'll get over it. Get ear plugs. A.
Bounce
Thanks. They left Momma Ewe about 10 days ago. It doesn't take much to make a 14yr old girl complain so I'll tell her to stick her head under the covers.
Denise Wall
Sheep should be in groups of at least three or they become very stressed. If you have only the two lambs together, try putting an adult in there.
