Hi all. I'm home for a couple of hours (wanted to come get my kids for the weekend) so thought I'd give you my "play by play". I haven't been there for any of today's running but was there Wed. and Thur.

I got to meet Christine finally. What a super nice gal! She said she got some good pics of Zac so am looking forward to seeing them later on.

The drive is quite long and flat so hard to judge lines very accurately. Of course, yesterday the sheep were making such a mad dash that way once turned around the post that lines were the least of our concerns then! Just getting them slowed back down again before they got back up the hill. Seemed to be at least one dead spot at the first drive panels and then a small one just after the lift. It was down a hill and way too many dogs weren't listening there for it to just be coincidence. I know mine can grab the bit and run but to see so many others choose to ignore whistles there was kind of surprising.

The sheep are challenging and have led to much frustration for many dogs. I've seen some outstanding work done by many a dog handling these girls though. The letters on the board don't really show the high caliber of dogs that went down with a fight.

It's being well run (in my opinion) and I for one am having a blast. I think my kids are more excited about getting to stay in a hotel tonight than watching the dogs run though!

All I can say is this... I've only been to two National finals in my life. The first one was in 2001 and Scott was the reserve champion. The second one was 2004 and Scott was the national and reserve champion. When I am not there, nothing happens, when I am there, he wins. Hmmmm. Draw your own conclusions. And no, the answer to that is not that I'm a witch!!

OK, Andrea, the Canadian to root for now is George Stambulic and Gyp from BC. He's like a brother to Scott and I. He's staying in Scott's camper (hopefully not on my side of the bed!) so I told Scott not to give George any of his "bad run" cooties to him.

Actually, Scott said some guy came up to him and wasn't joking when he told Scott that it must have been just luck that Scott was first and second last year! Really, the guy said that! Scott didn't know the guy but thought he might have been from Ontario. Scott had a hard time keeping his cool but told the guy that he'd like to have that statement in writing so that the next time he met up with the guy he could confirm or deny his opinion.

Crap, I can not believe the nerve of some people...I mean really! Someone came up to me at a trial up north I happened to be first and second or first and third...dunno who the guy was but he trails and he said "How nice that Tom Lacy didnt come so you could win" Tom's a good friend of mine and I told him about it...even he backed up when I told him.... Ah well, Scott should have busted his teeth in.

The link isn't working either. I'm not sure how to clean the cache out on AOL. I can't find where to do it. I opened up IE outside of AOL (which is my access) and was able to view the results. The two must not be connected however as I did clean the cache out on the IE outside of AOL and that didn't help. Anyway at least I was able to view the results. Thanks..
