Sue R
Howdy: Just a reminder that Gary Ericsson, noted stock dog trainer from Coalgate, Oklahoma, will be returning to SE Ohio again for another clinic Friday and Saturday October 21-22, 2005. Details about the clinic are posted to our web page, www.lavellefarms.com. Gary has vast experience teaching clinics and training dogs. More information about Gary and his clinics is posted to www.garyericssoncowdogs.com and www.lavellefarms.com If you have trouble finding a motel room, please check Jackson Ohio and Logan Ohio. Reservation forms and clinic information can be downloaded on www.lavellefarms.com Gary Ericsson grew up out in the western states on ranches and the rodeo circuit. For over forty years, he has made his living working with livestock and stock dogs. In addition to winning stock dog trials throughout the western states, he has conducted stock dog handling clinics from North Pole, Alaska, Hawaii, virtually every western state and across the Mississippi River down as far south as Alabama and Florida. After selling his Idaho ranch where the dogs were used as part of the ranching operation, he bought a ranch in Oklahoma and continued to breed, train and sell stock dogs. He has produced numerous informative video tapes on training and handling stock dogs. Also for many years, he produced the national magazine North American Cowdog with his son Choc Ericsson. Gary still breeds and trains working dogs for a living now focusing exclusively on slick-hair cattle bred Border Collies and a versatile breed he developed 'The Hangin' Tree Cowdog'. In addition to his wealth of knowledge with dogs and livestock, Gary is an excellent teacher helping the seasoned handler as well as the beginner in a helpful informative way. Over the course of the two day clinic, he will work individually with each dog and handler beginning where they are and taking them forward to a better partnership in handling livestock. He will be bringing quite a number of his own dogs to the clinic that are at various stages of training to demonstrate many of the tasks one can expect from a good stock dog. Class sizes are kept small to provide for individual attention. If you have any trouble accessing the reservation forms, please contact me. Thanks and best regards, John P.
