Katelynn & Gang
So, I just got a email from a friend that the "Border Collie Health" web site has now added a for DNA results on testing Border Collies for TNS also known as Trapped Neutrophil Syndrome. Anyone ever hear of this before? Katelynn
Tassie
Yes, it's generally known of in the show Border Collies in Australia and New Zealand - though fortunately it's very rare. Here is a link to a report on the disease, and the finding of the gene apparently responsible by the Uni of New South Wales team that have been working on CEA and CL. ETA - the link was written not long before the gene was located - which was late in 2006.
juliepoudrier
Katelynn, You might want to look at this short thread that appeared recently for information on TNS as it includes comments from Dr. Denise Wall, who is on the ABCA genetics committee.
