ness_bc
Dear All, I just wondered if anybody has experienced this with one of there BCs before and if so does it need vet attention or is it something that the dog will recover from given time? I had Ness up the river on the weekend and she was swimming and managed to badly rip one of her nails on her back foot. Its totally a clean tear though nothing is hanging out. My only concern is that its now Wednesday and it happened on Saturday evening and she is still quite lame. I guess from my own experience it is painful to rip a nail off so I just don't know if I am worrying unnecessarily over it. Thanks, Sally and Ness
LaurieB
I would take her to the vet, just so she can get some antibotics. My casey is constantly ripping and tearing her nails, I had her dew claws removed because she kept getting the caught whenever she was running and jumping. ness_bc
Thanks - its not a dew claw just an everyday normal nail. Its the first time anything like this has happened and my parents are away so I am trying to not make an unncessary vet call. Any idea how long they take to recover?
