Dal & Mad's Mom
When we talked about our dgos breeding and showed pics of the papers Dal was distantly related to someones dog through Ornin Barnes line. Then I saw the wisp topic it got me wondering what other Dogs are famous for being champions and siring alot of pups? I got Maddies papers yesterday but, havent had the chance to google anyone on her moms side for fun.
Barb Scott
Key Dogs From the Border Collie Family by Sheila Grew (Heritage Farms Publishing Co, 1993) has information about many of the early border collies. Barb Scott
Dal & Mad's Mom
I tried searching Google and Froogle for a copy of it and every link says no longer available. Or no match found. I Even tried ebay.
skd
The book by Sheila Grew is out of print, and if you find one, it often is priced at $125 and up. Sheryl
Katelynn & Gang
Yeah, Key Dogs cost a lot. Watch for it on Ebay. Sometimes you can pick one up for a good price. I paid thru (well my mom did anyway) the nose for my copy. I'd love to see Maddie's pedigree! Katelynn
Barb Scott
Wow! I'll quit loaning my book out now that I know how valuable it is! I bought my copy before it went out of print. Barb Scott
DeltaBluez Tess
It's very hard to find and when found, it will cost a bundle. I use to own dogdazes.com, the largest used sheepdog, herding bookstore and we would get (maybe) one or two copies a yr and it would be presold. we paid a pretty price for them and usually did not make a profit since whoever bought it ended up buying other books Diane
