smileyzookie
My girl Riven was diagnosed on Friday with Kennel Cough. She keeps hacking, and coughing off and on, but what really is worryingm e is that she is breathing SO rapidly. I did tell the vet, and he did say she had some raspy airway, and gave me antibiotics. Can anyone tell me if this is normal, or maybe even how to slow her breathign down a bit. It isnt just when she pants, its all the time, very rapid. Rebecca, Irena Farm
Did your vet tell you to keep her very quiet? KC can develop into pneumonia very rapidly, similiar to the flu in people. But if she's on antibiotics that's less like to happen. It's still a good idea to avoid anything strenuous for a while as the virus runs its course.
