nancy
Fergie has diarrhea again. Third or fourth time this year. The only thing that seems related is that this happens a few days after she gets her Interceptor and Frontline. She's 9 years old and has been on both of these all along. This year is the first time we've had any problems. Has anyone had any similar experiences? Does anyone know if the formulas for either med have changed? The vet can find no obvious cause - even done blood work.
Rebecca, Irena Farm
Ben gets tummy upset from Interceptor. He barfs it up and often got hotspots and diarrhea (Ben's default reaction to any illness). The scary thing is the fact that when he was throwing it up, he was NOT getting the med, obviously. We had one very scary trip to the vet when I moved his crate one day and discovered five Interceptors underneath (yes, that tells you a lot about my level of housekeeping). We also discovered the same thing about Doug the Dog last year - though I only actually saw him barf the Interceptor up once while we had him, he had apparently missed several doses a few months before we got him and he came up HW+. Barb Scott
Do you give the Interceptor and Frontline on the same day? If so, maybe spreading them apart be a few weeks would help. Barb S
nancy
I do give the Interceptor as the reward for letting me apply the Frontline. But I've done that all along. Otherwise, I'm likely to forget one or both. As I tell my kids: I'm not getting older; I'm getting cuter. Lots cuter.
