Sentinel?

I've used it several years now. It won't prevent all parasitic infections but in my opinion is a good base line for prevention of parasitic infections. Kind of like a broad spectrum antibiotic. It's not going to "kill" all bacteria but is effective against a wide range of gram positive and negative bacteria. Even though I use it (Sentinel), I have regular fecal tests done. If the fecal study is positive for other parasites, appropriate meds can be prescribed. This has happen to my dogs even while on Sentinel. I think the combination of meds and lab work provides the best care. Hope this helps.

We had our last BC on Sentinel and she seemed to do really well on them. She had a bad flea bite allergy and it seemed to do better than any of the topical treatments.

We also have Nellie on Sentinel and she also seems to be doing well. Of course we live in a suburb and don't have to worry about ticks so much.

Hope this helps.

Casey,

As a dog groomer, I ask people what they have their dogs on as a loose survey. IMO based on the feedback I've had from clients and the overall presence of fleas and ticks found in the bath, Frontline and Advantage work best. On the east coast, I found that those dogs using sentinel had more fleas on them than FL. or ADV.
