nancy in AZ
I came back from being out east for 4 days and Minnie's haircoat is fried along her torso on both her sides. It's texture is that of a brillo pad and much of it looks as though the hair has broken off and is frizzed--dry and brittle. I have no clue how it got that way. Any recommendations (either internal or external)to bring the quality back to normal? Her coat is still normal around her head, neck, chest, haunches and along her back so I don't think it's from illness. Maybe she was rubbing in the dirt, but she usually will turn on her back to do that. I haven't seen her scratching, and detect no discernible change in her behavior, appetite, etc.
Annette Carter & the Borderbratz
You can use a remoisturizer conditioner, or Mane & Tail on her. Since her coat is so sensitive you might try having a leave on conditioner spray with UV sunscreen in it, on hand for the future.
