Cheri McDonald
Briar is doing great so far on the Metacam for her joint stiffness. I have only given it to her every other day since picking it up from the vet last week. She played all day at the rescue Christmas party and didn't seem to have any pain and I thought for sure she would be hurting after all the running she did. I was home with them all day yesterday and not once did she get up limping. I know it sounds silly but she seems happier too. I guess without having a constant ache I'd be happier. I got them both a big beef bone to naw on maybe that put a grin on her face too. She was very vocal about her pleasure! AK dog doc
Yay! And you're probably right about her feeling happier. Pain is both a physical and a psychological stressor for dogs, so the removal of pain cheers them up considerably at times. I'm glad she's feeling better! mandiefurniss
Cheri, glad to hear Briar is feeling better. My Lucy was on Metacam for her front legs and her back when we first got her, within 2 days she was getting up with no prob's and no stiffness in her legs at all.
