Mixed border collie doubt

I got a 2 month old puppy recently from my uncles, named Kiss. His father is a normal border collie and his mother is a black mixed dog. However Kiss looks much more like his father, and the strange thing is that despite his mother hair is black, he is really white, without the typical border collie black back, how is that possible? Just curious haha.

I also would like to know how you think he will look when he grows up, will he be very different from a normal border?? Here you have some photos, thank you!
