Michael Parkey
Levi is 13 months old, and seems as healthy as can be. He eats a good quality kibble mixed with a little home made broth or cooked meat. Most of the time his feces are completely normal. After vigorous exercise, he often will have one loose stool. He does not seem in any distress, and does not lose control of his bowels. Consistency of the feces varies from semisolid to liquid. During exercise, he often stops to get a big drink. I've never noticed this will any of our other dogs. On the rare occasions they had diarrhea, it was accompanied by distress, loss of control, and other symptoms. And there was an obvious cause. Could the loose feces be caused by exercise and drinking lots of water? Thanks!
islandboy
When we had a similar problem it ended up that we were over feeding Merlin. We cut back a little and problem was solved. We had been careful to ensure his active time was about an hour after eating breakfast. He still naps after dinner.
