thefner
APRIL 22-23, 2017 AT THE FARM OF TOMMY AND JILL HEFNER We are excited to announce that Dave Imas is coming to the Texas Panhandle! This will be a two-day clinic starting Saturday, April 22 and ending Sunday, April 23. Dave, along with his great dog Tip, was recently selected to be on the team representing the United Stated at the 2017 World Championships in the Netherlands. He and Tip have also placed well in the Double Lift Championship rounds at the 2014 USBCHA National Finals, 2015 Meeker Classic, 2015 Soldier Hollow Classic, and the 2016 Bluegrass Classic. Please join us for a weekend filled with great instruction and learning, good food, and comradery. Very simply put, Daves clinics are focused on communication and the basics for both dog and handler. In his words, So much of our success is based upon our ability to communicate effectively with our dog. Keeping in mind our dogs dont give us what we want, they give us what we ask for, we need to be sure we have a clear idea of what we want then ask in a way our dog understands. We also need to calibrate our voice with our intentions. Daves goal is to make sure you walk away with a clear understanding of how to effectively communicate with your dog, create a realistic sense of where you and your dog are, and, most important, provide tools to assist you on your journey. Visit www.catbirdstockdogs.com for more information about Dave Imas. All levels of handlers and dogs welcome. We have a round pen, a small field, and a large field. Auditors are welcome. A light lunch and snacks will be provided both days, and dinner will be provided Saturday evening. Open to no more than 12 handlers, Dave likes to keep his clinics small. With a limited number of participants, there will be plenty of time for questions, discussions, and a ton of work for each handler. We will try to video some of the sessions and have a group discussion Saturday eveningafter dinner to further analyze handler and dog interactions. Cost for two-day clinic $250 Auditors $25/day Please email us at tommy@jtcattle.com with information on how many dogs you wish to bring and the dogs level (so we will know how many dogs we have in the fields or round pen). Registration will be accepted until the clinic is full. Refunds will be issued if the clinic is cancelled. Campers/RVs are welcome. No hook-ups. Nice hotels approximately 30 miles away in Hereford, TX or Clovis, NM. If you have any questions or need further information please feel free to contact Jill at 806-265-5448 by text or phone call or email me at tommy@jtcattle.com.
