I have spent most of the day kicking myself soundly for bad judgement. In my defense, I do think better information could have been forthcoming when he was released but still, I am the one who did not follow the instructions. I assumed that once we hit that "the stitches could be out now" stage, that we could resume more normal activity - which, in this case, was really nothing strenuous but still not safe enough.
