Deanna in OR
Last Saturday, our border collie Tenaya and my husband entered the Skyhoundz Pac NW Regional Championships near Seattle (Frisbee Dog contest). They did great in the Distance and Accuracy competition, placing 3rd, and earning an invitation to the National Skyhoundz competition in Atlanta. It's too far to go, but we were very happy with how they both did. Of course, at least half the dogs seemed to be border collies. The 1st place winner was a very cool border collie who scored way higher than any other dog--and that was a dog who just finished chemotherapy and a couple surgeries on his neck. He was awesome! Tassie
I've never seen a Frisbee Dog contest - but it sounds like great fun. You must be really pleased with how Tenaya and your hubby did. Even if you can't go to a national competition, it's pretty cool to get invited.
