Jumpin Boots
We use large bales of hay for the big pastures. But the big bales get too much moisture in the small fields and we end up losing a bunch and I hate the waste from tossing flakes on the ground. So we made our first hay hut, we should be able to put 1-2 bales in at a time, it's up off the ground and covered. The best part was it only cost $14 as most of the wood was scrap we had laying around. Also, a warning, while I saw a nicely organized gravel pile dumped along a 4 foot high wood fence line, the lambs apparently saw an escape route, bounding up the gravel and flying over the fence line. Good thing we have a long driveway. Note to self, learn to think like a sheep.
