geonni banner
Found this book on e-bay, and am enjoying it immensely. It is "Some account of the Longshaw Sheepdog Trials Association." I have posted some excerpts on my blog about the dogs and sheep-raising stories, along with some photos from the book and other photos & illustrations gleaned from Google images. http://pedanticmystic.blogspot.com/2014/08/the-wisest-dogs-in-world.html http://pedanticmystic.blogspot.com/2014/08/sheeps-tails-from-hills.html
CMP
That is so awesome. My father's dog was called Old Moss and I know he is a descendant of "Moss" somwehere way back and far away - one wonders if it is the same Moss - the timing and geography is correct-ish. Anyway - that was a great read. ETA: We always have a "Moss" and an "Old Moss" in our pack.
