esox
It has been forever since I have been on here. Much has changed. My partner Jackie passed away. Alex, Jack, and I moved from New York to Kansas City. We went through some dark times after Jackie passed. Life is going much better now. The Border Collie Miss. Alex is 9. She is still very active, but is deaf. She has learned hand signals quickly. Just wanted to stop in and say hi to all.

G. Festerling
I am so sorry for your loss. Good to see you joining in again. Having an old gal that has gone deaf as of late as well, I also found it amazing how easy she picked up on handsignals. Although, that does not keep her from pulling the old....I can't hear you....routine! And I fall for it too! LOL
GentleLake
My old girl was practicing selective deafness, as well. Most of it disappeared when the vet put her on tramadol for arthritis pain. She does have very real age related hearing loss, but it's actually not as bad as I'd previously thought. I guess she was feeling lousy and just didn't feel like listening to me sometimes.
