Pippin's person
Here's mighty Scout. I'd be delighted to hear what you think about the length of her legs (do you think they'll go all day??), the intensity of her eyes, the heart she's demonstrating at age 9 weeks. It was no easy feat for her to get hold of that camera lens cap, so comments on her obvious intelligence also welcome (She's a Zac x Megan pup--dogs in her pedigree you might be familiar with: Parker's Craig; Alta-Pete Dan; Prescott-Guderian's Dale; Schreeder's Kate; Alta-Pete Megan (littermate to Alte-Pete Pleat, the only dog to ever win all four major North American trials); Roger's Duke. Megan whelped Smith's June, who Scott Glen had some success with). The tri was a total surprise--no tri in either parent until three generations back. The white snip on her snout and the general coloring recall Scout's Great Aunt Tala, who was the reserve national champion the year her Great Uncle Pleat won the Nationals. "Cute" or similar (or nothing at all) is o.k. too.

Jumpin Boots
She looks too innocent, which equals trouble in my book regarding puppies. She is adorable, have fun!
Gideon's girl
Let's see... Those ears look like they will hear every command, and those eyes probably don't miss much. She also looks cute as a button, full of trouble, and has very pretty coloring.
Sue R
Cute with potential!
Shetlander
Funny, my first thought was she looks like trouble -- do you sense a theme here? But also she looks like lots of fun and, yes, very cute. Congrats!
GentleLake
She already has such a serious look about her. Smoothie? And looks like prick ears (or nearly so) and bright tri markings. She'll be a looker. She looks like she'll be an awesome dog.
urge to herd
I'm with GentleLake, she looks very determined to me. Which might be a synonym for trouble Got a pic of her standing up? And of COURSE she's cute! OMG, tri, tipped over ears, and a toy she found for herself. What more could you want? Pippin's person
Trouble indeed! She's hard to capture standing up--but here's one where I think you can see her style (at least on shoes) even though it's totally out of focus. The other picture shows that she can work laced shoes just as well as she works the pull-ons, though she does tend to want to grip the laces. Gideon's girl
I think from those additional photos that we can see she has a future in cattle. Those are leather, right?

urge to herd
Oh, man - that shoe had better do what Scout wants it to do! The look, even through the blur, is priceless. Ruth and Agent Gibbs
jvw
A handful! Definitely! I predict a fun and exciting future. BTW, Seamus started out as a solid tri
PSmitty
Well, at the risk of making anyone uncomfortable, or making judgements based solely on appearance, or worse yet, outing myself as a Not Serious Sheepdog Person, let me say she is absolutely adorable!(two "wub" emoticons really show how pathetic I am!) juliepoudrier
I don't have anything to say except, "Send her to me, please!" J.
urge to herd
I dunno, maybe gripping laces is a terrible fault that she would be dq'd for. Ach, the shame of it all . . . alligande
Call me shallow but I am I sucker for a pretty face, she is lovely.

ShoresDog
What a great little puppy! I bet you are going to have a lot of fun and some good stories to tell with little Scout.
Alchemist
I think she looks like she'd make a good bookend for Ross. And far too much trouble for you! Send her this way (and I'll have to hide the fact from the authorities that I have one dog more than allowed) LOVE her name, and the attitude clear in all her photos! gcv-border
Puppeeee! I am another one who loves puppy pics. Have fun with her.
NorthfieldNick
My Nick is a son of Marianna Schreeder's Kate, and he's the best dog ever. Your puppy, OTOH, is obviously not going to amount to anything. I'll take her off your hands. Consider it a service. I WANT A PUPPY!! Pippin's person
How cool, Ben. Kate is Scout's grandmother on the sire side. Zac, Scout's dad, is a great dog--just a fantastic temperament and very nice on sheep.
