Kian's Mom
The female I have had a normal heat cycle ( or what I call normal ) when she was 9 months. Her cycle at 15 was a little off. Not as much swelling or bloody discharge. This cycle she just had at 21 months was even less swelling and hardly any discharge you had to get her down and look to see any. She also come in about 2 weeks earlier. And not sure she was in for 3 weeks. Any female ( not Bc ) that I have had in the past had very noticeable swelling and a bloody discharge. No question that they were in heat. Is this something I should worry about or wait until her next cycle to see what it is like? Thanks in advance for your ideas. Jan
Gideon's girl
Any time a heat cycle is off, look for signs of something going on. Pyo, false pregnancy, it's probably nothing, but signs for pyo are often not noticed until it is pretty advanced, so better safe than sorry. Kian's Mom
Gideon's Girl, I stopped in and talked to the vet tech. Said to wait until she comes back in and then come back so they will be able to tell more at that time. So guess will see in 6 months. The breeder said a lot of BCs are this way. Just knew my cockers weren't and wanted some advice. Thank you
Gideon's girl
I have heard of a few BCs that have split heats and other abnormalities, so it is just something to be aware of and if you see depressed behavior, look into it further. Otherwise enjoy your quirky girl!
