KrisK
I've been looking for a companion dog for Flint for awhile. He's very active and is really tiring out the 10 year olds. I think I may have found the right dog. He's 5-6 years old, in BCRO rescue in Ontario and if all goes well, I'm hoping to take Flint to meet him next week. Wish us luck Sorry about the photo...I can't seem to find one that shows up larger!
Gary_and_Karen
Sport is very handsome and has that look like he is ready for play ! We hope all goes well ! Your post reminded me we are considering at some point adopting a companion dog for Xena to have a dog buddy to play with during times we are busy with chores. We probally would want to adopt one that is close to her age. We might have to hold off for a little over a year though, even though we hope we could adopt another dog sooner if we decide to do so. ShoresDog
Good luck with the meet-up! Having followed your posts for several years, I think Sport would be a lucky dog if it turns out that he and Flint are compatible.

KrisK
The meeting is set up for next Tuesday. I had a long chat with his current owner and Sport really sounds like the right dog for us. It's about 6 hours from home but the bonus - it's virtually next door to Flint's breeder's farm! So, the plan was to take Flint with me, and this just works out that much better - we'll go visit his siblings/and extended family and maybe even some sheep!! . If all goes well, Sport will be coming home with me on Wednesday.
Tommy Coyote
You can't have too many border collies especially if they are rescues. The more the merrier your house will be.
KrisK
Sport has arrived....I made the trip yesterday and returned home with him today. I took Flint with me so I could see how they reacted together. There was a bit of snarkiness, but all in all, I think it will work out. They had a long trip crated in the SUV and spent some time in the yard. Now, it's a matter of getting the terrrierest, Dusty and Cricket the mistress of the household to accept him. He's not quite as handsome as the photo....unfortunately, his coat had been so neglected, that he was shaved down - so he has a lovely tail and a furry face but the rest of him looks like a cocker spaniel! I'll post a photo or two later Some good mojo for us would be appreciated

Cynthia P
And Flint came to see me. He's grown into a very handsome boy! Didn't get to work sheep as I had to head into Toronto, but it was great to see Kris and Flint. Hope Sport fits in with the clan; go slow and give the old ones their personal attention..they won't care what the younger boys are doing Cynthia
