Liz P
The state of KS is currently experiencing a bloom of blue green algea in various ponds and lakes. This is fatal if ingested. At least one dog has died and several more are ill.

Tommy Coyote
Liz: Have you heard anything about Missouri? Mary
jdarling
I guess the news isn't that old, then.
Pam Wolf
They had warnings out a few weeks ago at the lakes. I suppose it is possible in MO too since I think this occured at Perry Lake. Algae has been worse on the tanks this year than usual so been watching it. Liz did you feel the quake?
Journey
With 3 kids dying on the east coast I can understand the warnings. There were no indicators here in Va. different amoeba but from nasty water nonetheless. Be careful in stagnant bodies of water.
Liz P
I didn't feel the quake at all. What time did it happen? Nature doesn't respect state boundaries, so I would be careful in MO.
iWantToBelieve
Yep, we are being careful here.
Carlasl
This is the first I have heard of it. Good to know thanks.
