anticloud
My border collie, Eko, has the most unusual markings. One side of his face is black and the rest of his body is white. Are there any others out there like him? Here is a link to a page that I made for him if you want to see more pictures.
PSmitty
Cute dog! Split faces aren't all that unusual, although Eko's is more symmetrical than most. But, the all white body makes him even more unique. Here's my split face, Will.
SecretBC
I adore split faces (obviously)! He is super cute! I also love all the white -- I can see why you were drawn to him!

Jeri Jessee
The picture of him as a baby, sleeping, is beyond adorable. I didn't know what a split face was (never given it any thought) until I got Maggie...I'm totally hooked now!

Cynthia P
One of the dogs I train is a split face white dog. Black on half her face and the whole body is white. Not too unusual for white dogs Cynthia

I have never seen those marking, the split face yes,but the all white body, no. Thee is actually a terrier that has an all black head and white body. The name of it escapes me right now. sharstwrd
What a beautiful dog. I have seen split faces before but not with that all white body. There is actually a terrier of some sort that has an all black head, don't recall the actual name of the dog though.
rushdoggie
Yup, love them split faced doggies! About a million years ago (or maybe just 20) I worked at John Ancrum, back when it was on Leeds Avenue.

About a million years ago (or maybe just 20) I worked at John Ancrum, back when it was on Leeds Avenue. Oh I love the little dot on the top of his/her head. That is certainly unusual as well. And what a small world it is, huh?
anticloud
Eko is a gorgeous dog! It really is remarkable what wonderful dogs people can get in rescue, isn't it? What is really amazing is that someone adopted another one from the litter and didn't snatch Eko up. I was shocked. I guess he was meant for us. Not too unusual for white dogs Cynthia I would love to see a picture if you get a chance. It would be neat to see another Eko out there.
rufftie
here's my boy twitch. he's probably a bc/acd cross, but who knows! he has some ticking and a great spot on his rump to mark the spot he loves being scratched most. ">

Shawnee
I also have a predominantly white border. Border Collies come in a LARGE variety of colors and markings. Here is a link that I found very good for showing some different colors and markings: http://www.gis.net/~shepdog/BC_Museum/Permanent/BCColors_SplitFace/BC_ColorHalfWhite.html Your border is gorgeous by the way! BC Bandit
Yes, Eko is very handsome with great markings. My Bandit also gets alot of attention from people because of his unusual facial markings and all white body. Lance
terrecar
That very symmetrical split pattern is not all that unusual or specific to Border Collies. I've seen it in Whippets and Smooth Fox Terriers as well. My Whippet had a split face. As he aged--say from 8 years on if my memory serves me--he began to lose the bottom half of the color side, so that by the end of his life it was completely gone. It was a very visible marker of his aging. Your dog is lovely! This is the first BC I've seen with that split.
