Lewis Moon
Probably a really idiotic question but... If a puppy has a pink nose at birth, will it always have a pink nose? Here in AZ I assume that a pink nose would be more susceptible to sun burn. Just FMOI.
Journey
Generally puppies do have a pink nose. With age the pigment fills in on it.

I just saw a clutch of new red pups and they all had pink noses.
D'Elle
I have actually wondered about that myself, because I know from experience that a pink nose is easily burned in the quantity of sun we have here. I have seen puppies with motteled noses, part black and part pink, which then filled in all black later on. But there are also some that don't, and stay part pink. I don't know if there is a way to tell which noses will go all black and which will not while the dog is still in the puppy stage.....
