WildFlower
Hi everyone, Does anybody have any magazine suggestions for someone (me) that will hopefully be getting a hobby farm in the near future? I am currently getting Hobby Farm and Mother Earth News - which I both love so far. I also am getting Mary Jane Farm which is ok. I would like to have a small flock of sheep, some chickens, and a vegetable garden. Not necessarily all right away. Or if you found a particular book really helpful, I'm all ears! Thanks a bunch! KrisK
Hi, I know you're in the US, but try Small Farm Canada. It's full of information for small scale farms. www.smallfarmcanada.ca I love it!!

denice
There are some great home study courses for livestock available. I did several when I first got sheep and learned a ton. Univ of Wy has/had one, as well as Univ of Minn Pipestone has a great one. I imagine there are others out there. Denice
