Laurae
As Penny notes, re-runs are scored from wherever the run was stopped in the first place. So Robin and Bill would get a second chance to do that lookback, but the score from the first lookback should stand. I'm not sure where they'll pick up scoring for her run, but probably somewhere between the start and end of the second fetch. As a matter of course, the dog and handler getting a re-run have to re-run the entire course--it's really the only practical and fair way so that you don't have to worry about the time clock or the fact that a dog running just part of a course would be fresher than dogs running the full course. The wait times between a run and re-run are also fairly standard (usually 2-3 runs) to give the dog getting a re-run a chance to rest before starting over. J. I've seen reruns at Meeker where they pick up the course from where the first run was called. Maybe it depends on the judge, course, or other circumstances. Pippin's person
Anyone know why Maid's run was scored as it was? Did she cross somewhere? (I thought she might have on the second outrun, but I also wasn't watching with full attention). Or did they lose a lot when the collard sheep left the shedding ring while Scott and Maid pushed the shed off group out?
DeltaBluez Tess
What a great morning, having my coffee and watching the Double Lift. I am so excited for Tommy and Sly. Nan is Sly's sister so she is rooting for her. Tess is rooting for Scott. Rainey is rooting for everyone else. I am glad they made the decision to do live broadcast. Be sure to click on the sponsors on the side so they can see we at least looked at their website...as it was, I joined American Lamb on facebook and wrote on FB, a thank you. Did you know that Serta has cute sheep wallparper you can download? Off to refill my coffee.....thanks to Heather for doing all the work...we all appreciate it

Maybe it depends on the judge, course, or other circumstances. Interesting. Maybe it's a Meeker thing. I've always seen re-runs be full runs. At Meeker does some other dog, for example, bring the sheep down the field so the re-running handler can pick them up from where the first run left off? And if the tone of a run is set at the lift, then is't the second run completely at the mercy of how the sheep are handled to the point where the re-running handler and dog pick them up? It just seems like an odd way to do it, but I'm sure they have their reasons. J.

Or did they lose a lot when the collard sheep left the shedding ring while Scott and Maid pushed the shed off group out? It sounds like she crossed on the second outrun of the first go (per Heather's tweets)? I thought they stopped him before she completed the second outrun, but perhaps not. A cross and a group of collared sheep leaving the shedding ring could account for the lower score. J.

I've seen the setout crew bring sheep down to below the fetch panels, but I'll ask one of them for the full scoop, Julie.
