Mick is lost Update Found

Recommended Posts

If you posted photos, please do take them down. And let anyone you asked for help know that he's home safe.

We have had several lost animals in the neighborhood. And lots of us were actively looking for them whenever we went out. The owners never let us know when the pets returned unless we happened to see them and ask. Nothing worse than worrying over someone else's cat for weeks only to learn, "Oh he came back the next day."

Just another comment about posters - one man travelling between trials lost a dog at a truck stop unbeknown to him (the camper door was loose and the dog hopped out - he took off without knowing). He posted flyers and sent them to shelters, etc.

Meanwhile, the purebred Border Collie had been picked up and turned into a shelter but was mis-identified as an Aussie. An alert shelter worker saw the flyer posted at the shelter and realized it was the same dog that was in the shelter, and the dog was reunited with his owner.

A poster with a good clear picture is worth a thousand words to help identify your dog. And, yes, make sure you retrieve your posters/flyers if you've recovered your pet.

Thank goodness Mick is back! All those prayers and your hard work paid off!

Whew, great news!!

Kessie ran away once (because I was using a flyswatter and didn't know she was terrified by them). Not a nice feeling  (but luckily I found her after half an hour of biking around).
