Rebecca, Irena Farm Posted August 18, 2009 Report Posted August 18, 2009 Zhi the Crested totally rules the roost here. It's hot and she has found a cool place on the floor near the fan. Gus was fast asleep and chasing sheep in his sleep or something and moved until his nose was basically up Zhi's butt. Naturally she started objecting with a growl that got increasingly more fierce as Gus apparently ignored her. Gus is deaf. So the poor guy had no idea what his offense was when the Wrath of Zhi descended in all her eight pounds of ire. Fortunately he's really good natured in addition to being stone deaf! So he just gave her a look that clearly said, "women!" and left the field clear for the pleasure of Her Royal Highness. Quote
bc4ever Posted August 18, 2009 Report Posted August 18, 2009 That sounds familiar. My brother has a Crested mix that terrorizes their 11 year old Aussie on a regular basis. Poor Buddy never knew what hit him when they rescued Miss Maggie! Quote
KrisK Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 Oh my!! Sorry, but I couldn't help but laugh.... poor Gus..give the boy a hug for me Quote
Carson Crazies Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 Poor oblivious Gus. He and Zippy would keep good company together! The other night Nick was laying at my feet with a nylabone and poor clueless (and deaf) Zippy kept walking past him on a mission of some sort that had nothing to do with Nick or Nick's bone. Nick kept making ugly faces and I could hear him rumbling. Zippy still has no clue that he was that close to danger - and if he'd have known he'd have been across the room in a heartbeat. Quote
mbc1963 Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 LOL! Oh, the poor guy! I've gotta remember to never get a deaf dog as Buddy's companion - he would KILL it! Mary Quote
