sea4th
Fletcher, my rescue went on to his new home in West Virginia. His new job will be Best Buddy to Brian, his new owner. And Fletcher doesn't know it at this time, but Brian has big plans for him -- obedience, agility, and I'm hoping he'll take a try at herding. I've had Fletch on sheep before and I think there are some possibilities there. If nothing else, it will open a whole new world for his owner, like it did for many of us with our first border collies. I'm hoping Brian joins these boards and we'll get to hear lots about Fletcher in his new life. Fletcher back in February. He's sort of bald right now since he's blown all of his coat. Sue R
What a very nice looking dog and what a wonderful face and expression!!! What part of WV did he go to? Is it Morgantown area? Much as I dislike the AKC, the Morgantown Kennel Club is a good place for family dog and agility lessons. They have people who come from OH, PA, and areas of WV that are an hour and more away for the lessons. Just don't get sucked in by the KC attitude that *some* (not all) possess. They are a nice group of people who love their dogs and are non-discriminatory about mutts, shelter or rescue dogs, or non-KC dogs. I'd still be involved in training there if my schedule, location, and other demands were more amenable to it.

sea4th
Morgantown area. I suggested he -- the owner, not Fletch --- come to these boards for breed specific advice --- and other advice too. First border collie --- a whole new world opens up for this guy. I told him that too --- Beware. There is no going back.
