NorthfieldNick
Lu is now sporting a purple polka-dot leg bandage from the IV catheter and an 8" (!!) incision in her belly, but her lumps (and her floppy boobs) are history. Her x-rays checked out clean, her blood work came back fine. She's still a bit wobbly, and definitely not feeling great, but she should be fine Lu is going to have a very boring life for the next few weeks while she recovers, but I am so incredibly relieved! I told Lu I'd get her a pink collar (she's due for a new one anyway) after surgery. I saw a pink one with skulls & crossbones on it today... might have to go get that one

Lewie'sMom
Great news, but I think she should be sporting the pink ribbon for breast cancer awareness! As a breast cancer survivor, I think that's a great idea! Way to go, Lu! Good girl.
NorthfieldNick
Great news, but I think she should be sporting the pink ribbon for breast cancer awareness! That was the idea, but Lu isn't really much of the pink type. I figured the skull & crossbones collar would "toughen" it up a bit- much more Lu's style. My sister & BIL have a huge female black lab who everyone thinks is a male. For awhile, Magic had a pink ribbon on- we called it her "gender identification ribbon." Everyone just thought it was to support breast cancer...
