Cressa is GOING TO NATIONALS

Recommended Posts

:D Cressa got her last two double Q's at this last trial. So we will be going to nationals. They will be in OK this year. She will be competing against other 16in dogs. I am soo excited. This is our first time even though this time I have agree to let my trainer run her.

She routinely beat Zippity in jumpers (their in different heights but zippity is very very fast and tight) by split seconds. My trainers said a lot of the 16in dogs that placed were spilt seconds behind zippity or same speed as zippity) And she was split seconds behind zippity in standard.

Also Cressa seems to excel at pressure. When we competed at the IX the first time which holds a very big dog show. 3 agility rings, conformation rings, obedience rings, rally rings, plus a ton of doggies store with the agility rings almost in the middle Cressa got her 1st dbl Q there. The pressure seems to put her in overdrive drive or border collie on espresso. LOL

This last trial we had a 16in sheltie that normally competes in USDAA come from NH. She normally always places 1st and had came to this trial to pick up points. She was like "who would expect to find two very fast dogs at this little trial". When she was checking the score sheet. She said she was surprise to find she was 2nd and her dogs was 3+ seconds behind. She was like is she from an agility kennel. I was like no just a small working farm in OH. She was like really?!

Now we just need 9 more Double Q's for our MACH!!!

 Not that I am excited or anything...

For those of you who don't know. Cressa is from working/herding parents and is my first border collie and my first agility dog. We also don't compete that often maybe once a month if we are lucky. July is our only exception. So we are super excited... err I am. Cressa is just trilled to compete. You see her radiate when she done a good job.

Congrats and good luck to Cressa, you and Denise!

I could use a little bit of Denise right now since I know for sure she would be able to give me some insight into helping me figure out this agility thing with him. He's little, he's fast, he's smart, he's sensitive and he's waiting for me to catch up and get with the program.

Good luck to you guys :D

Keep us posted.

Good job both of you, have fun at nationals and next year I bet you'll be running her next year when she qualifies again.

Congratulations! Very exciting. When/where will the Nationals take place?

Its the last week of March and is going to be somewhere in Oklahoma or that is what I am told. So it will be a 18+ hours drive for me.

Meant to also say out of 6 possible Q's she got 5 this past weekend.

Woohoo! Nationals is so much fun, we'll see you there!

It's in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the Ford Expo Center - it's a wonderful facility (they held it there in 2008), plenty of crating, close hotels, good stands from which to watch all three rings (a fourth ring was held in another building just a few feet away).
