Sam'smom
Am planning a road trip with Sam in late August, I am going from Nova Scotia to Newfoundland. The driving is not a concern, Sam is a great traveler in the car, however the trip involves a ferry boat ride and I have 2 choices, option 1 involves a 12 hr trip on the ferry and an hour drive to get to where I want to end up, I can put Sam in an airplane style crate, in a kennel room on the ferry.. can go visit any time and there's apparently a place to let him out and go pee.... or if I wanted I could leave him in the car on the car deck with limited access.... OR option # 2 I can go on a 5 hour crossing different destination that involves a 12 hr drive to get to where I want to be, Sam can still be crated in a kennel room ect.... or I can leave him in the car.... Am thinking I'll go over on the 12hr ferry and come back on the 5 hr one..... just wondering about sedating Sam for the longer ferry trip.... anyone ever taken thier pup on such a long boat trip? how did you hande it? more importent how did they? any help or advice would be awesome!!! thanks!!
