bcnewe2
So Mick and I went to the new vet today. They had the old x-rays sent from AR. She said there was no need to re x-ray at this time as it would tell us the same thing. But one thing she brought up that the old vet did not was that mick's left rear hip ball (not her words but mine) is looking pretty bad. Nothing to do but anti-inflammatories and maybe at some later date remove the ball if it gets worse. I can’t even think about that now. She said she thinks what happened last Friday evening was that it sub-luxated and my massaging probably popped it back in. Which makes sence because he got up after 15 minutes of massage and acted like nothing happened. Yes I could see he was still in pain but he was walking. I kept him on Deramaxx since Friday (had some left over) and have not let him do much. The new vet says to keep him on the anti-inflams. and let him work. Be careful of stopping when I see he needs to. Which in all honesty we were both so happy to have sheep that we probably over did it on both the sheeps part and him. She recommended getting acupuncture for comfort and gave me a phone number of someone. I asked about chiropractic and she didn't have anyone to recommend but thought the acupuncturist might. So....he'll get his meds tomorrow and will take the sheep out to graze in the am. Please send us some good Mojo....I sure hope he's gonna be good to at least do some easy work.
