bc4ever
Scooter's been on Rimadyl for hip dysplasia for two weeks now. Does this drug have to be taken for a while before seeing improvement in mobility? If so, it's not working. He almost seems worse. Having his bloodwork done tomorrow to check effects, if any, on his liver and kidneys. Vet did this before putting him on it. According to her, when I expressed concern about using Rimadyl, the reason dogs have trouble with it is because their liver and kidneys were already compromised. Is it time to try something else or should we hang in there for a little longer?
Journey
I would think it's time to try something else. I've seen turn around in about 3 days with dogs on Rimadyl.
2 Devils
Deramaxx is good stuff. I would try that next. If that does not work, you may want to consider Adequin injections.
Rave
To help the pain of hip dysplasia, you need to be giving a joint supplement that will help lubricate the joint, which will in turn alleviate the pain. Synovi G3 is a pretty good one.
