Strange Gait

So, although my pup is not a border collie, I was hoping that you guys might have some insight as to what is going on with my springer's back legs. I will attempt to describe what is going on as best as possible.

Jasper is about 11.5 months old. He is full of energy and never has any trouble getting around. He is in no pain and very fast/agile on his feet. However, for many months now, I have had some concerns about his back legs. While standing, they seem completely normal, no problem. However, while walking, trotting, and running, they seem to angle inward and nearly touch. His font feet/legs do not come close together at all and appear normal, but something about his hind legs just seems off. I'm not sure I can describe the issue much better than that, but if anyone has any further questions, I would be happy to answer them. If you think you could better answer my question with a video, I may be able to get one up. Thanks a bunch!

If you are describing what I think you are, I don't think I am seeing a problem. Dogs tend to stand more "square" than they trot in back. The hind feet are more "under" the body while moving, otherwise they would have a bit of a waddling gait.

One of the dogs that I walk is a springer and he has a funny walk. I think his back legs kind of do the same thing. He also has this really cute little hip hop that he does some times.

It sounds pretty normal to me. I start to get concerned with movement if the legs appear wobbly or when the gait is uneven. Watch the legs closely from side and back, as long as they appear solid and flowing in their movement it is probably just the way he carries himself. I have also wet down the dogs paws then trotted them across dry pavement to measure the length of the gait, but all sounds normal to me. However, listen to your gut and if you are worried, ask a vet.
